CEO Anthony Ebbers and his wife Maria bring a passion for knives and the outdoors to our mission of continuing the legacy of our founder, David Summers. I've always been drawn to the rugged beauty of Alaska and the necessity of reliable tools in its challenging landscapes. Whether you arrive in Juneau by boat or plane (because you can't drive to the capital city!), you'll find us nestled along the docks in the big blue building known as the Historic Merchants Wharf. Our History

Founder David Summers is licensed by the State of Alaska Big Game Commercial Services Board and the United States Coast Guard, is a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and a United States Army Veteran. Bringing together a lifetime of passion for the outdoors, years of practical use lessons, and extensive product knowledge; Alaska Knifeworks, with it's cadre of expert staff, have operated in downtown Juneau's historic waterfront area for over 24 years.

Most days you can find him within the same building, he owns and operates Alaska Scoops down the hall, so after you grab your knife, go see him for a scoop of delicious Ice-cream!
